According to the TO&E of 1986, The Officers’ Training School (OTS) of the Bangladesh Air Force functions under the Directorate of Air Training, which reports to the Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) and ultimately to the Chief of Air Staff. The Officer Commanding (OC) OTS is responsible for managing all training and administrative activities. Supporting the OC are two main branches: the Progress & Training Control (PROG & TRG CON), which handles training planning and coordination, and the Adjutant (ADJT), who looks after discipline, administration, and welfare services like the Orderly Room, Trainee Officers’ Mess, and Unit Warrant Officer (UWO). The training is divided into three squadrons: Technical Training Squadron, Non-Technical Training Squadron, and Academic Training Squadron. Each squadron consists of specialized flights, focusing on areas such as engineering, communication, logistics, administration, and general education. This structure ensures that officer trainees receive well-rounded training to prepare them for their roles in the Air Force.
